How to Get Married in My Time at Portia

Recommended Videos

My Time at Portia is a game about starting a new life, so it seems only natural that you’d want a new love life to go along with it. Building relationships with the people you meet around the town will be a key part of the game no matter what, but you also have the option to take things a bit further by marrying one of the townies you meet. Before you can marry anyone you meet in My Time at Portia, you’ll need to build your relationship with them. You can do this by doing a few things on a frequent basis.

Chatting with someone every day will help build your relationship, but you should also make sure you’re giving them gifts. There are also a few mini-games that will give you the opportunity to build your relationship even more with certain people in Portia. Keep in mind that if you go too many days without speaking to a certain person you can actually lose relationship points.

Your goal is to obtain eight hearts with your would-be lover after you have confessed your love to him or her. To seal the deal, you’ll need to acquire a wedding ring before proposing to your lover, and you’ll also need to upgrade your house to accommodate you both.

The twist, however, is that things might not always unfold in that exact way. My Time at Portia developers confirmed that some of the NPCs in the game will approach relationships differently depending on their personality. Some NPCs won’t wait around for you to confess your love and they may confess their love to you first.

That’s everything you should need to score your dream guy or girl in My Time at Portia. For more helpful guides, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
