How to Block and Return Zone Shots in Mario Tennis Aces

Recommended Videos

Mario Tennis Aces is fast-paced and a ton of fun. Players finally return to the court, this time on the Nintendo Switch! You’ll be able to pick your favorite character and go at it in singles or doubles matches. With it being such a fast-paced game, though, you’re bound to wonder how you can put yourself on the defensive. How do you block zone shots in the game? Here’s the answer!

Within the game, if a ball’s coming at you too fast, always keep in mind that you’ll be able to slow down time by using Zone Speed. This uses up your energy, but it can be very useful for when you want to make sure you don’t miss it. Hold down the right shoulder button and so long as you have it held down, you’ll go into some slow motion mode. This helps you easily block any crazy zone shots from your opponent.

When blocking zone shots, you need to perfectly time your button press, just as the ball is about to reach the racket. If you don’t do this well, your racket will take damage. Too much of this, and you’ll break it completely, rendering you useless!

That’s all there is for how to block in Mario Tennis Aces! If you need more help, let us know how we can help you in the comments down below.
