How to Wiretap and Find All Collectibles Fast in Mafia III

When you jump into the world of Mafia III’s New Bordeaux and get exploring, one of the first things you’ll probably notice is the absolute ton of collectibles to be found. While you can spend time seeking them out individually, there’s actually something you can use to make the whole thing a lot easier, and it’s a simple wiretap.

The first thing you’ll need to do to wiretap in Mafia III is to get some TL-49 Fuses to make this work. These can be found all over the place often near trash cans, rooftops, and ledges, but keep your eyes out as they can crop up anywhere in New Bordeaux.

Next thing you’ll need to do is complete the story mission ‘Smack’ in Mafia III. Upon completing this, you’ll now be able to do something called Wiretap. This technique allows you to use three TL-49 Fuses and essentially hack a nearby Junction Box. This will then reveal all of the different collectibles in the nearby vicinity. This, therefore, means you only have to worry about finding the Junction Boxes and the rest of the collectibles will become far easier to find.

Once you’ve completed the mission and got your Fuses, seek out a nearby Junction Box and press Square or X to interact with it. Then, move your left stick until a section of the circle is highlighted green. You want this to be as small as possible. The smaller it is, the larger the bar will be that replaces it.

When the larger bar replaces it, you’ll then need to make sure a needle stops in the green section. Press Square or X again to stop it when it’s in the green and boom, you’ve just successfully used a wiretap.

You should now find that all of the collectibles in your nearby surroundings will appear on the map in Mafia III. Simply head to these locations to pick up your rewards.
