Spoiler Warning: Though we’re not going in-depth into the story of Life Is Strange: Before the Storm here, there will be a few small spoilers regarding locales that feature in the episode, as well as brief mentions of what happens to give you a place of reference. We advise playing the episode first, and then using collector mode with this guide to pick off any you might have missed.

Before approaching the bouncer to get into the barn at the very start of Life Is Strange: Before the Storm, be sure to check your surroundings. Look at the big RV over on your left. Head around the back of it and you’ll find the optional graffiti opportunity here.

Now that you’ve talked your way past the bouncer and gotten yourself inside the barn, you’ll want to make your way towards the back of this room where you can hear the music coming from. On the wall, just before the big moshpit in the entrance to where the music’s coming from, you’ll see a circular saw blade on the wall. Simply interact with this, choose which optional graffiti you want to tag it with, and this trophy/ achievement will be yours.

After the crazy night with Rachel Amber, Chloe will wake up to find herself in her room the next day. She can’t find her phone, and so you’ll need to go and find it. Before heading out of Chloe’s room, look at the unicorn poster on the wall to the left. Rip this down and then you’ll be able to draw some more optional graffiti in its place.

Once Chloe and Joyce have had a bit of an argument over curfews, school, and, of course, David, she’ll send Chloe out with David’s keys so he can drive you to school. Before he can, though, he’ll need the socket set from the garage to fix the spark plug on his car. Head in, open the toolbox on the floor and grab the socket set. Before heading back out, however, look back down at the toolbox. You’ll have the ability to graffiti his toolbox in a typical Chloe way.

When you arrive at Blackwell Academy after the interesting drive in with David, head immediately to the theatrical stage on your left. Instead of standing on it, go around the back of it and look for the entrance to the building. On the right side of this, Chloe will be able to draw some more optional graffiti. Take your pick of the designs and grab another trophy/ achievement in the process.

Dramatis Personae

After Chloe is dragged into the drama room by Rachel and asked her a serious dramatic question in front of the teacher and other students, she’ll ask you to grab her belt out of her bag. Get it from the back of the room and then walk into the backstage area. Before turning right to hand her the belt, look for the poster directly in front of you.

Here, you can either draw horns on Nathan or a halo for Rachel to tick off this scene’s optional graffiti.

For this one, you’ll need to move the box directly behind Chloe when you assume control of her on the train with Rachel. Head through to this new area of the carriage and look at the scrawlings on the side of the train. You can have Chloe add something to this and tick off another optional graffiti trophy in Life Is Strange: Before the Storm’s first episode.

Once you’ve arrived at your destination after the train journey, immediately turn around when you gain control of Chloe and head toward the large bronze statue.

Press Square/ X to add some optional graffiti to the bottom of the statue and then you can carry on with playing the fun game with Rachel.

Face Your Anger

This one’s a little bit trickier than the previous ones. When Chloe is in her rage with the baseball bat, you’ll need to first ‘smash’ the Good Kiddos sign in this area. Then, ‘smash’ the cans of paint piled up nearby and you should see a splatter appear on the sign.

Head back to the sign and Chloe should now have the option to draw some more optional graffiti. Now, let the smashing continue!

After Chloe’s fit of rage, she’ll find herself in the car. You’ll need to move the Tempest poster out of the pouch on the back of the seat in front of you. However, Chloe will then notice that she hasn’t got her marker. Grab it out of the top of the wine bottle to her left, and then use the marker on the back of the seat. Once you’ve done this, you’ll then be able to draw the final bit of optional graffiti in Life Is Strange: Before the Storm’s first episode.
