Last of Us 2 PS4 Pro Enhancements Explained
The good news is that of course, The Last of Us 2 is enhanced for the PS4 Pro. The Last of Us 2 runs at a native 1440p resolution on the PS4 Pro, compared to the Full HD 1080p resolution on the base PS4 model.
Elsewhere, the PS4 Pro will run The Last of Us 2 at an almost consistent 30 frames per second, and is HDR compatible. This means the action will run smoothly, and colors will pop and bring the world to life if you’re playing on an HDR-compatible display.
It’s worth pointing out, however, that as Digital Foundry mentioned in its performance analysis of The Last of Us 2, that the base PS4 also runs at 30fps and also has HDR compatibility. As such, the only notable PS4 Pro enhancement here comes in the form of that improved resolution.
An improved resolution normally means that your image will look sharper and there’s generally more detail in the characters you see and the environments you explore.
