Is There Online Multiplayer in Knack 2?

Recommended Videos

Knack is back for a second adventure, putting players into the shoes of the size-shifting character once again. Knack 2 takes place a few years after the original game, and like the first one you can bring a buddy along for the ride. It’s incredibly easy to play couch co-op, letting a second player join by simply powering up a controller at any time and hitting a button. While it’s definitely fun to play with a buddy next to you, naturally you’ll be wanting to know if you can hop online with a friend across the world.

Unfortunately, Knack 2 does not feature any kind of cooperative online multiplayer. While you won’t be able to play with your friends online, this doesn’t mean there aren’t any online features. There are leaderboards to look at for single-player, co-op, and the time and coliseum trials. On top of this there’s a feature that lets you see what your friends might have found when opening treasure chests, letting you choose if you want to get the item you found or the one that they found. So for now you’ll have to stick with couch co-op, but maybe someday we’ll see some online multiplayer Knack.

More About Knack 2

Knack 2 is the sequel to the PS4 launch title created by Mark Cerny, of Crash Bandicoot and Spyro fame. In addition to a brand new story, the game features a number of improvements with upgraded combat, a new graphical engine, and expanded co-op features.
