The Just Cause series has always been about over-the-top action, and the fourth game certainly doesn’t disappoint in that respect.

This is a bigger and more impressive expansion of everything we’ve seen before, though it does hold onto some beloved mechanics from previous games, including the awesome traversal systems. Here’s how to use the parachute in Just Cause 4.

Although you’ll be able to take advantage of a bunch of cool vehicles in Just Cause 4, you’ll hardly need to wait long to enjoy zipping across the map at lightning speed.

Thanks to a combination of the wing glider, grappling hook, and parachute, you can fly across the map for impossibly long distances and at an impressive rate of knots.

To use the parachute, simply press tap X (A for Xbox One) when you’re in the air. Pressing the same button again will put the parachute away. That’s all there is to it.

The parachute is super handy for breaking your fall from heights if the situation doesn’t allow you to use your wingsuit. It’s also excellent descending into areas from above and taking enemies by surprise, even shooting at them as you glide in. You can even use it to extend your flight time as wingsuit across the map.

That’s all the information you should need about how to use the parachute in Just Cause 4. For more handy tips and guides on the game, be sure to check out our wiki page, as we’ve got a bunch of useful content that speaks to every facet of the game.
