Increasing Battle Score in Bayonetta 3

Each chapter in Bayonetta 3 features a number of Verses, which are basically combat encounters. At the end of each Verse, the game will give you a short results screen, followed by a medal based on how well you did. You can get Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Pure Platinum medals depending on your performance, and they’re determined by the following metrics:

  • Combo
  • Verse Time
  • Damage

The longer your combo strings, the higher your score will be. In addition to that, the quicker you clear a Verse and the less damage you take during that encounter, the higher your score will be.

You’ll be awarded with medals for each of these metrics, followed by a final medal that takes into account how well you did across the board. Once you beat a chapter, you’ll be given a medal that calculates how well you did in all of the Verses for that chapter.

How to Get Pure Platinum Medals in Bayonetta 3

Pure Platinum medals are the hardest to obtain in Bayonetta 3, and for good reason too. Not only do you have to beat a Verse in a very short amount of time and land huge combo strings, you also need to take zero damage in the fight.

Taking even one point of damage will prevent you from getting Pure Platinum, and will only get you the regular Platinum medal at best. So if you’re looking to get the absolute highest score for each Verse and chapter, be careful not to take any damage.

Ultimately, your performance in combat doesn’t affect the story, so you don’t have to stress out about it too much. Performing well will reward you with more Orbs, which are used to purchase items and accessories from Rodin’s shop, but the game makes it fairly easy to obtain Orbs anyway, so it’s not an entirely huge deal.

That’s all you need to know about how to increase your battle score and get Pure Platinum medals in Bayonetta 3. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
