As you explore the many timelines of the Mexiverse in Guacamelee 2, fighting skeletons and leaping around as you go, you’ll come across plenty of items and areas that you won’t understand the point of. There will be colorful blocks which are linked to the special moves that you unlock as you play, but you may be more confused by the glowing doors or objects, and sometimes even by parts of the world itself that are glowing. Here’s everything you need to know about what the glowing objects are in Guacamelee 2 and if you can do anything to them.

If you’ve ever played the first Guacamelee game, you’ll probably recognize the pattern on the glowing objects. They signify items that exist in the opposite world to the one you are currently in. A huge part of the Guacamelee games is Juan’s ability to switch between the living and dead worlds at will. You cannot do so from the beginning of the game, which may be why you’re confused about what they do, but you will unlock the ability to switch between the two worlds after a couple of hours by pressing the right trigger. It allows you to get to some new areas of the map, and the skill is often incorporated into both the combat and platforming sections of Guacamelee 2, adding complexity to the game.

After spending some time with it, switching between the two worlds will become second nature. Be sure to keep an eye out for how to worlds differ in theme, color, and characterization as you explore.

That’s all you need to know about what the glowing objects are and how you interact with them in Guacamelee 2. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
