Most modern Pokemon games will let you know what a Pokemon is weak to after you’ve encountered it at least once. The games will let you know which of your moves are effective, super effective, or not very effective, but before that first encounter, it’s easy to forget some type matchups. If you’re trying to remember what Golem’s weakness is in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, we have all the info right here.
Golem’s Weakness in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl
Golem is a Rock/Ground-type Pokemon, which means it has several weaknesses. Fighting, Ground, Steel, and Ice moves will deal double damage against it, while Grass and Water do quadruple damage. This means that Grass and Water-types should be your go-to choices when taking on a Golem.
Even with all those weaknesses, it’s important to note that Golem has a number of resistances and one immunity as well. Golem is immune to Electric and takes half damage from Normal, Flying, Fire, and Rock. Additionally, it only takes 25% damage from Poison-type moves.
Also, be aware that, like many other Rock-type Pokemon, Golem can have the Sturdy ability. This ability prevents it from being one-hit KO’d when it’s at full health. Sturdy activates even after Golem’s Trainer uses healing items to restore its health, so long as the Pokemon’s HP is full.
All of this info is useful for when you go up against the Elite Four since Bertha, the Ground-type member, has a Golem on her team. That Golem has the Sturdy ability, and it knows Earthquake, Rock Polish, Heavy Slam, and Stone Edge.
That’s everything you need to know about Golem’s weaknesses in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Be sure to check out our guide wiki for more tips, tricks, and other info on the game if you’re looking for more pointers.
