How to Rage Mode in God of War

Recommended Videos

The latest God of War title marks a big departure from mainstay traditions the series had previously been known for. No longer set in Greek mythology, now sporting an all-new third-person camera, and with gameplay that more closely resembles a Dark Souls RPG than a hack-and-slash action game, this is a very different sort of experience. Kratos himself is a deeper, more layered character than his usual shouty self. But don’t worry, he still gets very angry. In fact, Kratos has a special Rage Mode that can be used to channel that aggression into crushing his enemies.

To use Rage Mode, simply press L3 and R3 on PlayStation or Left Shift and middle mouse button on PC together at the opportune moment. While activated, Kratos has access to a special move set that can actually be upgraded via the appropriate segment of the skill tree.

Rage Mode comes in extremely handy versus the game’s more difficult enemies, so make sure you’re both comfortable activating it and being diligent in upgrading the moves on hand.

That’s all you need to know about how to activate the mode in God of War. Be sure to check out our God of War wiki for more tips, tricks, and guides.
