Who Kratos’ Voice Actor Is in God of War
The new God of War brings a wealth of changes to the series, completely switching up combat, skill systems, Kratos’ weapon, and much more. Of course, this new game also presents us with an older Kratos, who’s had years to reflect on the consequences of his actions. This more wizened Kratos isn’t the typical hero you know, and as such Sony Santa Monica felt that the character would also be in need of a new voice actor.
Up until now, Kratos has been played by Terrence ‘T.C.’ Carson, who you might also know as the voice of Mace Windu in the Star Wars: Clone Wars TV series. Now, however, this older version of the character is played by Christopher Judge, who’s most prominently known for playing Teal’c in the Stargate series. Judge’s deep, gravelly voice is a spot on fit for the grizzled Spartan, but he’s still able to instill the character with plenty of pure rage when need be. While this is Judge’s first big role in video games, he’s had quite a few minor ones in titles like StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void, World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor, and Def Jam Fight For NY.
