Your loadout in God Eater 2: Rage Burst consists of your melee weapon, gun, shield, devour type, special skills such as Blood Arts, Bullets, and your appearance. As you progress through the game you’ll gain more items and pieces of gear that fall under each of those categories, and you’ll definitely want to change them. For starters, newer gear tends to be more powerful, and you can’t go wrong with some power. Secondly, who wants to stay with the same generic stuff they started with anyway?

To change your loadout you’ll need to access the terminals located right next to the desk where you accept missions. Once inside the terminal, select loadout and you’re on your way. This will bring up your character’s screen, allowing you to swap out each piece of gear you currently have access to. When you first start the game, you’ll notice two question marks just above Bullets. Don’t worry about those, though, as they are skills you’ll unlock naturally as you play. Once you’re done making the changes you want by exploring each menu, you can simply back out, and you’re all set.

You can also save multiple loadouts so that you can quickly switch between different playstyles. At the top of the loadouts screen is a tab called ‘Label.’ Changing this label will provide you with a fresh loadout screen that you can adjust to your liking. This makes the act of preparing for different conditions much easier.
