How to Use Guiding Wind and Set Objectives in Ghost of Tsushima

Ghost of Tsushima’s Guiding Wind mechanic can be used at most any point when you’re traveling through the world, and it’s easy to do so too.

Simply swipe up on the touchpad and then a Guiding Wind will appear to guide you toward your currently selected objective. Tracked objectives like main story missions will show a distance meter that ticks down, while optional locations and markers will require following the wind with less of an idea of where it is.

How to Change Your Selected Objectives

Selecting the objective you want Ghost of Tsushima’s Guiding Wind to track and guide you to takes a few other minor inputs.

First, press the Options button to open up the main menu. This will open the map so that you can view markers for the locations of main story missions, hot springs, and other locations you can travel to.

From there, you can determine which marker you want to track by pressing the Right Directional Button on the d-Pad. You can cycle through all of your current objectives, and whichever one you stop on will be the one the Guiding Wind tracks when you close the menu.

This includes markers you set yourself, which can be applied to the map by pressing the cross button (X).
