How to Defeat It – Gears of War 4

Recommended Videos

Gears of War 4 sees you battling against some weird and wonderful foes throughout the campaign’s duration. One such creature, lovingly named It by the game is not quite like anything you’ve seen so far. But there is a handy way to take it down.

The first time you stumble across this monster, head to the right-hand side of the room. Over here, you’ll find a conveniently placed Boomshot just waiting for you to pick up and start causing some destruction. Now, the creature won’t take damage unless you shoot after their chest opens up. Therefore, you’re going to want to wait until this happens to shoot, otherwise, you’re just wasting ammo. As soon as their back arches and chest opens, unload a couple rounds from the Boomshot. Keep doing this and in no time, this fight will be over.

There are a few things to watch out for when battling this weirdly named creature. First, if they get too close to you, the encounter will result in instadeath, so always be wary of getting too close and looking for your escape route if you do. It’ll also use an acidic spit shot, so simply use the cover dotted around the room to protect yourself. When It opens its chest, it’ll also unleash some projectiles, so be sure to shoot these down to avoid sustaining additional damage.

That’s all there is to this boss fight! For more tips, tricks, and guides, be sure to check out our Gears of War 4 wiki.
