How to Build in Fortnite Mobile

Recommended Videos

Fortnite Battle Royale, the game that is seemingly taking over the gaming world and beyond, is making its way to mobile. The first round of invites have been sent out by Epic Games and players are starting to get their hands on it. If you’re one of the lucky ones playing Fortnite Mobile, you may be wondering how to build with the new controls, since it is such a vital part of the game.

First of all, you’ll need to enter Build Mode, which is done by pressing the icon just to the right of your weapons, at the bottom and in the middle of your iOS device’s screen. It will look like a hammer and a spanner that are crossed, much like it does in the console and PC versions.

Once you’ve pressed that button, you will be able to cycle between the items and building materials and begin building your defenses by simply pressing the icon of the thing you want to build and the material you want to use, and then pressing the screen in the area you want to construct something. The materials themselves will show just above where the weapons usually are, with the ramps and walls replacing the icons that the weapons previously occupied. To switch back to combat mode in Fortnite Mobile, simply press the build icon once more.

That is all you need to know about how to build in Fortnite Mobile. For more on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
