How to Dodge – For Honor

Recommended Videos

For Honor is all about taking on deadly warriors in one-on-one battles, so you’ll need to know every trick to come out on top. One of the abilities you have is dodging, which well let you quickly evade an enemy’s strike. There are basically two types of dodging in For Honor, one for when you aren’t locked onto an enemy, and one for when you are.

When you’re running around the battlefield, simply hit the X button and you’ll perform a dodge roll. This can be useful for evading arrow strikes and other dangers. When you are locked onto an opponent with L2, dodging is still mapped to the X button. With this dodge, however, it’s a much quicker step in any of the four directions, and should be used with nearly exact timing to evade an enemy. Keep in mind that you can dodge the four directions when locked out, so use it to sidestep an impending attack.

Using a combination of dodging, attacking, guard breaking, and other skills is how you’ll achieve victory. You can practice a bit in the campaign before diving into multiplayer.
