Should You Join the Flame Emperor in Fire Emblem Three Houses?

About partway through the first act of the game, you’ll be introduced to what appears to be one of the primary antagonists in Fire Emblem Three Houses. After one of the story missions, the Flame Emperor will appear before you and Jeralt, and ask if you want to join forces.

At this point, you have a decision to make. You can either say yes or no. The thing is, this decision literally doesn’t matter at all, as there’s only one possible outcome.

If you say no, the Flame Emperor will say that he understands your apprehension, and leave you and Jeralt in peace. But if you say yes, the Flame Emperor will say that he can tell that you’re lying through your teeth, and that your hatred for him is exceedingly obvious. And then he’ll leave.

So, as you can see, there’s no up or downside to saying yes or no to him, so feel free to choose whichever option you feel suits you best. There doesn’t seem to be any effect on support points with other characters as well, so there aren’t any consequences to worry about.

That’s all you need to know about whether you should join the Flame Emperor in Fire Emblem Three Houses. Be sure to search for Twinfinite or check our Fire Emblem Three Houses guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
