Summoning Leviathan – Final Fantasy XV

Recommended Videos

Leviathan is a beautiful and elegant water Astral that you’ll encounter in Altissia. It will also play a pretty major role in the game and story. Once you’ve completed the mission, you’ll gain Leviathan as a summon. However, summoning works a little differently in this entry, so you won’t be able to simply summon Leviathan as and when you please.

Just like the other Astrals available in the game, you’ll have to meet a very specific condition in order to summon it to aid you. In this case, Leviathan will only show up when Noctis himself is in the Danger state. This means that once Noctis has been drained of all his HP and requires an ally’s aid (or a Potion) to get back into the fight, there will be a chance for Leviathan to show up. Do note that all Astrals in the game are more likely to show up if you’re engaged in a fight within the territory where you acquired them. This means that Leviathan is more likely to appear if you’re near Altissia, or at least in the relevant region.
