How to Download the Comrades Multiplayer Expansion for Final Fantasy XV

Final Fantasy XV has seen a long line of updates and downloadable content so far, but Square Enix isn’t about to stop as the Comrades Multiplayer Expansion is now available worldwide. This expansion lets you create your very own character, a member of the Kingsglaive, as they fight to protect the world that has fallen into darkness. Of course, before you’re able to dive in and start playing, you’ll need to download it.

Firstly, it should be noted that Comrades is a paid expansion, and you’ll need to have updated the main game to Version 1.18. You can purchase it for $19.99, or get it for free if you already own the Final Fantasy XV Season Pass. The best way to find the expansion is to go directly to the search option on the PlayStation or Xbox Store, and then type in the name. On PlayStation, this is “FFXV Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades,” while on Xbox you’ll search for “FINAL FANTASY XV MULTIPLAYER EXPANSION: COMRADES”.

Once you’ve found it just go to the expansion’s page and purchase it, or hit download if you have the Season Pass. It’s just over 7 GB, so you’ll need to make sure you have enough room, and time to download it. After that, select the downloadable content option on the main menu of Final Fantasy XV and you’ll be able to boot it up.
