Unlocking the Omega: Sigmascape (FFVI Phantom Train) Raid in FFXIV Patch 4.2

Recommended Videos

The biggest addition to FFXIV that comes with patch 4.2 is undoubtedly the brand new raid, which features a classic setting from Final Fantasy VI. The new raid, titled Omega: Sigmascape, is set within the iconic phantom train from FFVI, and it contains quite a few throwbacks to the older Final Fantasy title.

However, unlocking it is not as straightforward as you might have been hoping. For starters, you need to have cleared all the Omega Deltascape raids prior to this. The quest line is available right after finishing the Stormblood MSQ, which can be initiated by talking to Wedge at Rhalgr’s Reach. The conversation will begin a quest called Into the Deltascape, which then leads to a whole chain of quests titled Chronicles of a New Era. You’ll need to clear Deltascape V1.0 all the way up to V4.0. Continue the quest chain until you’ve completed the quest Return to the Rift. Only then will you be able to accept the new Chronicles quest, which gives you access to Omega: Sigmascape. Talk to Jessie at Rhalgr’s Reach, and she’ll give you the quest for it. The raid has an item level requirement of 325.
