How to Fast Travel in Far Cry 5

Recommended Videos

While Hope County has a ton of stunning sights to take in on-foot, getting around the entirety of the place walking around would take some serious time. Fortunately, you have vehicles, but either these aren’t ideal for when you need to be somewhere right away (or just can’t be bothered dealing with enemies on your way). Like with most open-world games now, however, Far Cry 5 has a fast travel option that’s pretty simple to use.

In order to fast travel in Far Cry 5, you need to look out for any locations that either have a blue fast forward icon over them on your map or a little blue map pin. By hovering your reticle over these, you should then be given the option to press Square (or X on Xbox One) to travel to this location. Confirm your decision and Far Cry 5 will whisk you away to your desired destination.

It’s worth noting, however, that fast travel locations must be unlocked by exploring the map and visiting them previously. You also won’t be able to fast travel during combat or if enemies have detected you or are in pursuit.
