Is Far Cry 5 Coming to Nintendo Switch?

Recommended Videos

Far Cry 5, the next game in Ubisoft’s hugely popular first-person shooter series, has finally arrived and – since it is one of the biggest games of 2018 so far – many gamers are wanting to play it. This time, you head to Hope County, Montana to take on a violent doomsday cult known as Eden’s Gate, led by the charismatic yet terrifying Joseph Seed. With the popularity of the Nintendo Switch, many owners of the console hybrid may be wondering if Far Cry 5 is making its way there.

Unfortunately, the game isn’t due to launch on the Nintendo Switch. Launching on Mar. 27, it will come to PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, as you’d expect, and Ubisoft hasn’t commented on any possibility of it coming to Nintendo’s console. They have said that they plan to bring a variety of games to the system in the future, which isn’t surprising considering the device’s popularity, but Far Cry 5 isn’t likely to be one of them, due to its size and scope. However, if that ever changes and the fifth Far Cry game is announced for the Switch, we’ll update you here.
