Time Eggs and Secret Ending – Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, like the previous game, has some secrets hidden within its story. Of course, you’ll have to work hard if you want to see them, and in this entry that means collecting five corrupted time eggs.

Early on in the game you’re introduced to five time rifts flying around the city – Buu’s House, Guru’s House, Hercule’s House, Capsule Corporation, and Frieza’s ship. These are all being affected by some weird time magic, yet nobody knows what’s causing it. What you do know is that you can grab quests from several NPCs within these areas, and that’s exactly what you need to do if you want all five eggs.

As you progress through Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 you’ll sometimes return to Conton City to see a notification on the upper right-hand corner of your screen stating that something is under attack or an event is happening in one of these places. Bring up your map (Hold down R2/RT) and head for the green question marks. You’ll have to complete a differing number of quest in each area, with each offering a different set of parameters.

Buu’s House – Bring food items you collect to Buu so that he can make family members. He’ll give you the egg once he creates five members.

Guru’s House – You’ll have to do all of Nail’s quests twice which can be a bit annoying. Each one is the same, tasking you with collecting Dragon Balls while fending off enemies, so it can feel a bit like a chore. After completing the first round, your ability maxes are increased. The second time around, though, you’ll get improved Dragon Balls and the Time Egg that Lord Slug left behind.

Hercule’s House – You don’t actually have to do Hercule’s quests. Ignore him and head right when you spawn in towards Great Saiyaman. Join him and complete quests whenever summoned. After around 10 he’ll add to your collection of Time Eggs. His missions vary between heroic deeds which include fighting enemies or reviving other Time Patrollers.

Capsule Corporation – Once in a while Vegeta will challenge you to a fight. He’s a tough opponent so bring your A-game. Once he recognizes your strength he’ll give you the Time Egg.

Frieza’s Ship – Join Frieza’s ranks and complete quests for his subordinates until Frieza himself asks you to work for him directly. After some time you’ll be promoted to his second in command (it requires a few quests). These missions are all combat quests and are a bit more challenging than those you experienced with Great Saiyaman. When all is said and done, Frieza will complete your Time Eggs collection.

You’ll have to do a lot of running around, and in the case of Buu and Guru, the missions are very redundant, but it will be worth it as these collectibles unlock the secret ending which is pretty impressive.

Once you have all five Time Eggs you’ll have to head to the Time Nest in Conton City and talk to the Supreme Kai of Time to obtain a new quest line. We must warn you that these battles are very challenging, but you’ll at least get to play as Bardock, which is not shabby at all. It turns out that he was the masked Saiyan that you always saw with Mira and Towa. However, that’s not the secret part. Play through the normal fight where things will change towards the end.

Bardock will actually turn Super Saiyan 3, unlocking this secret form for players to use in the game. He’s incredibly powerful and has an impressive amount of stamina making him easily one of the most powerful fighters in the game, and yes that’s including Super Vegeta, Black Goku, Hit, and Future Gohan.
