Majin
Majins are those frighteningly adorable pink fluffs that you may remember from absolutely decimating earth and killing most of the Z-Fighters during the Dragon Ball Z Buu saga. You’ll be able to create one of these fierce fighters in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 just like in the first game. They have very solid defense, allowing them to take much more punishment than your typical characters, but they lack in the stamina recovery department. If you happen to have a max stamina bar, though, then your defense improves even more, making them more of a slow, tank-like character.
The Majin males have higher health and can withstand more damage than the females as long as their stamina doesn’t hit the low mark. Females, on the other hand, may have lower health but are staggered for a shorter period of time and are better at avoiding critical attacks.
This is the race you want to choose if you like to be on the frontlines in your team and don’t mind taking a few hits for your allies.Â
Saiyan
Chances are that you’re a fan of this race seeing as how most of the series’ major characters have been this. The main protagonist, Goku, is a Saiyan warrior, as is Vegeta, Broly, Bardock, and many more. They lack in health when compared to other races, but they have very high attack power. That attack power increases as they take more damage. If they happened to be KO’d during a match in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, their stats are increased after they are revived, which is an interesting perk.
When it comes to the genders, Females have much better Ki and Stamina recovery, and they can use Z-Assists more often. The trade off is that they have lower health than their male counterparts. The male Saiyans in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 also have stronger melee attacks as well as longer lasting buffs. But their Supers aren’t as powerful.Â
Earthling
This is the base race, offering balanced stats across the board and automatically charging Ki (other races need to engage in battle to fill it back up). Their attack power raises when Ki is fully charged, offering the strategy of not using as many skills in order to have a more solid onslaught of basic attacks.
When it comes to choosing a gender for your Earthling, you only have to ask yourself which do you prefer: Strike Supers or Ki Blast Supers? Males have stronger strikes and females have stronger Ki blasts. Other than that, both genders are exactly the same, with equal health, charging, stamina, and defense.Â
Namekian
Namekians have the lowest basic attack power of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’s five races, but they more than make up for that with the best recovery in the game. They have high health that starts to regenerate when low, their stamina replenishes itself faster than that of anyone else, and items are more effective when used by a Namekian.
There are no gender perks for this race.Â
Frieza Race
The Frieza Race is a frightening one. Looking something along the lines of humanoid armored lizards, and packing a surprising amount of strength in their small frames, they are a force to be reckoned with. Like the Saiyans, the Frieza Race in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is very low in health, but they make up for that in power, stamina recovery, and speed.
While there are no genders in this race, there are some useful perks. Stamina recovers while attacking, allowing you to keep up the high-speed pressure on your opponents. On top of that, members of this race actually get faster as their health gets lower, making you a much harder target to hit during frantic battles.
