Frieza Initiation Test in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Recommended Videos

Chances are that if you’re a fan of Dragon Ball you know who this tiny, world destroyer is. Frieza managed to enslave the entire warrior race of Saiyans and even destroyed their home world, so he could probably teach you a thing or two about power and beating your adversaries.

Where is he? He’s found on the top of the tall mountain at the top of the left side of the map. He’ll appear once you defeat him in the story mode and will accept your requests to learn if you have passed the God level exam.

Of course, before he’s willing to do anything, you’re going to have pass his initiation test. Thankfully, it’s an easy one. Frieza will teach you the Death Beam super attack and you simply need to use it a few times on him. Once he’s satisfied, he’ll accept you as his pupil.

Once you complete the test, he’ll give you:

  • 100 Zeni
  • Death Beam super attack.

You can then select the first lesson from him. Keep in mind that if you’re not able to progress in the lessons, it means you need to progress in your advancement tests at the school (lower left-hand corner of the map).

Lesson 1: Death Crasher in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Your first real lesson with Frieza involves the Death Crasher. This is a physical super ability that charges the player directly at a target, dealing massive damage and knocking them back. You will first have to practice it on a few Saibamen before Freiza comes out. Once he does, you simply have to beat him with his own move.

After winning this challenge, you’ll get:

  • 200 Zeni
  • Death Crasher

Time to kick it up a notch with the next challenge.

Lesson 2: Death Slicer in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

This is very direct lesson. You’re given the Death Slicer ability to fight with, but all of your ultimate abilities are disabled. This means you can’t rely on some big hitting moves to take out Freiza, but you won’t really have to.

During this fight, Frieza will be on the defensive for the most part. He will attack if given an opening, but for the most part he’ll keep his distance leaving you to do the chasing. Simply give him a beatdown, then, when he’s on his last legs, use the Death Slicer to finish him off.

When you win you’ll get:

  • 300 Zeni
  • Death Slicer

It’s time for the final lesson. Make sure you’ve completed the God Level exam and Frieza will allow you to test your might and learn his ultimate ability.

Lesson 3: Death Ball in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

The final lesson you’ll get from Frieza in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will teach you the Death Ball ability, one of the strongest attacks in the game. In order to earn it, though, you’ll have to beat the master himself and show him why you deserve to wield its power.

Surprisingly enough, this isn’t tough fight at all. You’ll just find yourself with earth as your backdrop as you guys fly around space punching each other in the face and lobbing Ki blasts. Once Frieza is down to a sliver of health, use the Death Ball to end him.

When you win you’ll get:

  • 400 Zeni
  • Death Ball
