How to Save – Dishonored 2

Recommended Videos

Dishonored 2’s blend of stealth and combat action as you attempt to restore Emily Kaldwin to her rightful place on the throne. While you’re likely to find yourself playing the game for hours on end thanks to its compelling action and great storyline, there’s going to come a time when you need to step away and save your progress.

To do this, simply press the Options button on your PS4 or Xbox One controller and then select the Save Game option. From here, you can choose to overwrite a save file that already exists or create a new file if you want to return to one of your older ones at a later date.

Alternatively, if you just want to quickly save your progress and continue on with the game, you can bring up the same menu and then simply hold down R2 or RT to quick save your game.

Whichever way you choose or when Dishonored 2 is auto saving for you, you’ll notice a bunch of cogs turning in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen with Dishonored 2 in the middle of them. Once this has disappeared, you know your progress is saved and you’re free to continue or exit the game.
