Sterling Treasure is the primary way to obtain new Chroma and Taken themed gear that has been added in Destiny’s April Update. You want to look like a bad ass Taken guardian? You’re going to need Sterling Treasure. Did you want to deck out your new Dead Orbit gear with some sick white glowing Chroma accents. Same thing.

There’s also a bunch of other class specific gear and consumables that will be obtainable via these mystery bags. So it’s in your best interest to know the best way to get Sterling Treasure.

Move on over to the next page to find out the best ways to get a consistent source of Sterling Treasure each week.

How to Get Sterling Treasure

Destiny Sterling Treasure

First, the easiest and most direct way to get Sterling Treasure is from the Postmaster. Each week the Postmaster will have three for you after each weekly reset. So even if you did nothing but log in each week, you get three cracks as the mystery bag. Sweet.

If you want more, head to the new level 41 Prison of Elders and complete that for another guaranteed drop. Finally, the last main guaranteed easy way to get Sterling Treasure is from the Weekly Crucible Playlist. Complete at least just one match to net yourself another.

Those are the best ways to get Sterling Treasure for free. However, our old pal Tess Everis will also of course sell you some if you want more than Destiny is willing to provide you naturally in-game. Just make sure that you lined your pockets with some Silver and go to town if getting that perfect Chroma look down for your new armor ASAP is that important to you.

That does it for the mystery bags! Are you enjoying Destiny’s April Update? Let us know down below.
