How to Trigger the Heroic Glimmer Extraction Public Event in Destiny 2

There are several different public events available in Destiny 2, just like in the first game. This time around, though, players are able to trigger a special, more difficult, Heroic version which can change objectives and offers increased rewards. In order to do this, you simply have to complete a secret objective. One of the public events available in the game is called Glimmer Extraction. It tasks players with stopping Fallen from stealing a ton of Glimmer.

However, in order to complete the Heroic version, you’re going to want to steal all of that Glimmer for the resistance instead. To do this, you need to destroy these little generators at each point. They spawn in a few seconds after the other equipment and Fallen do. Below we have an image of what you’re looking for:

Destroy this at each point during the Glimmer Extraction before taking out the marked Fallen enemies. Afterwards, you will be tasked with capturing a point full of Glimmer while also dealing with lots of Fallen enemies and a huge boss. Killing the boss will net you extra Destiny 2 loot (and make capturing much easier). Once you’re done capping, though, you’re all set and you will have completed the Heroic Glimmer Extraction public event in Destiny 2.
