Raid Release Date for Destiny 2
With Destiny 2 on the horizon, many players will finally able to dive in and experience the new locations with their guardians. There are also a ton of players who have only one goal in mind, and that’s to beat the raid. The raid is the ultimate end-game challenge in Destiny and it offers powerful rewards in exchange for teamwork and perseverance. But with the game just launching, the raid isn’t available asap.
The first raid, which is called Leviathan, in Destiny 2 goes live on Sept. 13 at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET. That gives you a few days to get your guardians, and those of your clan, ready for the toughest challenge of year one so far. It will be the standard raid. There has been no word on when the heroic version of the upcoming challenge will be made available. If it’s anything like with the first game, that will roll around in a few weeks after players have grown acclimated to the puzzles and fights available.
Also, Bungie will not be teasing the raid at all. Players will truly be going in blind once it goes live. This is an interesting approach from the dev team who has always built up content launches with plenty of teases and information to get people ready. What challenges lie ahead we’ll just have to wait and see once we’re all finally able to step into the raid.
