Everything You Need to Know About The Preload and Unlock Times for Destiny 2 Warmind

Destiny 2 Warmind is almost upon us, and it won’t be long before we’re speeding through space and fighting off another new threat to the galaxy once again. Of course, with this being a new expansion to an existing experience, Destiny 2 Warmind will have both preload and unlock times, as well as some important information regarding server downtime, too. Fear not, though, we’ll run you through everything you need to know about it below.

Preloading will be available starting May 8, which means that you won’t have an opportunity to preload Warmind onto your system ahead of its release date. You will, however, have about four hours to get the Warmind expansion downloaded and installed ahead of the servers coming back on.

Destiny 2 Warmind Preload Begins: May 8, 10:00 a.m. ET

Destiny 2 Warmind Servers Scheduled to Come Back Online: May 8, 2:00 p.m. ET

It’s worth noting, however, that while you can preload Warmind from 10:00 a.m., you’ll then need to wait until the serves come online to then download the Hotfix 1.2.0.1 required to start the expansion. Currently, the size of the hotfix remains to be seen, but hopefully, it won’t be too huge so you Guardians can jump into the action as soon as possible.

That’s all you need to know about the unlock and preload times for Destiny 2 Warmind. For many more useful guides and tips on the game, be sure to check out our substantial wiki guide.
