Starting the Nascent Dawn Quest in Destiny 2: Warmind

Recommended Videos

Nascent Dawn is a post-game quest you can get from Ana Bray after completing the Warmind story campaign in Destiny 2. This is tied together with the Override Frequency puzzle and Sleeper Nodes, which are instrumental in securing the Sleeper Simulant Exotic weapon later on.

After you’ve completed the campaign, talk to Ana on Mars and complete the blue mission she gives you. You’ll receive a Pursuit item in your inventory called Nascent Dawn 1/5. You’ll then be tasked with completing three patrols on Mars, followed by one Lost Sector. Completing this step of the Nascent Dawn quest will reward you with four Resonate Stems, which can then be used to create an Override Frequency. Look at the item description of your Override Frequency to get a clue on where you need to go next. The jumble of letters and numbers provide a hint on the location of a Sleeper Node. For instance, you might get the three words “Dynamo Approach Arch” in your Override Frequency. This simply means that you need to look for some sort of arch in the Dynamo Approach area on Mars. When you’re near a Sleeper Node, you’ll hear music begin to play, letting you know that you’re close. The Sleeper Nodes themselves are diamond-shaped, and you can collect some loot by interacting with them.

After that, you’ll have to report your findings to Ana. After loading the data in her terminal, you’ll receive a transcript item called The Unsolvable Problem. As far as we know, you can discard this item without worry, and continue collecting Resonate Stems and opening Sleeper Nodes to try to further the Nascent Dawn quest line.
