Everything You Need to Know About Destiny 2 Update 1.07

You may be going to log into Destiny 2 and realize that you can’t play until you install the newest update for the game, update 1.07. It’s a very small update that shouldn’t take more than a couple of minutes to download and install, but it does bring a much-needed fix that players have been looking for.

Players, especially on the PS4, have been having issues when trying to load into the Tower in Destiny 2. Sometimes it would be a black screen where you can hear everything and not see anything, others would be an endless load, and even some outright crashes of the entire game. Bungie has known about this issue, and with version 1.0.3.2 (which is the new version after installing update 1.07), that should be a thing of the past. The note for this hotfix is a simple one:

“Fixed an issue that was causing crashes while loading into the Tower”

If you have your preferred console set to download updates automatically, you should be fine when you go to play later on today. Players who were in game when the update went live were kicked off the servers and allowed to download then. If you don’t have auto-updates, make sure to download the update before trying to boot the game, as you won’t be able to play. This is a mandatory update, so without it, there’s no space-faring action for you.
