How to Get Gambit Prime Weapons in Destiny 2

The Season of the Drifter has finally arrived in Destiny 2, along with a new mode called Gambit Prime, which also comes with a new loot pool of weapons to collect. Here’s how to get Gambit Prime weapons in Destiny 2.

Just like in regular Gambit matches, Gambit Prime weapons are loot drops that are based on RNG.

Simply put, you have a chance of receiving a gear drop after completing a Gambit Prime match. Aside from that, the usual stuff like completing bounties for the Drifter and getting Infamy ranks will also give you a chance of obtaining a weapon.

As far as the drop rate goes, it’s unclear just how rare randomly rolled weapons are. At the moment, most players are reporting that it’s far easier to get curated rolls on their weapons, but the drop rates for randomly rolled weapons seem to be extremely low.

What this means is that curated rolls will only give you a certain set of perks, and will never deviate from that set. If you don’t like the perks on the curated weapon, you’ll have to hope for a randomly rolled weapon instead.

Another thing to note about these new weapons in Destiny 2 is that it seems curated Gambit Prime weapons will tend to drop in the middle of a match, alongside your Synthesizers, while randomly rolled weapons are more likely to drop at the end instead.

For instance, completing objectives like wiping out the enemy team, killing high-value targets, and deploying large blockers will also give you a chance at getting a curated weapon mid-match.

And that’s all you need to know about how to get Gambit Prime weapons in Destiny 2. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the Season of the Drifter.
