How to Throw Snowballs in Destiny 2’s The Dawning Festive Event

Now that Destiny 2 fans have fully immersed themselves in the content introduced by Curse of Osiris, it is time for The Dawning, the game’s Holiday event. You’ll be able to get gifts to give to vendors, receiving gifts in return and you’ll be able to earn The Dawning engrams. There’s also more casual things you’ll be able to do around Destiny 2’s world, including throwing snowballs at objects and other guardians.

You’ll be able to find snowballs at The Tower and The Farm during Destiny 2’s Dawning event. As you walk around, you’ll see piles of snow with snowballs hovering above them. To pick one up, approach the pile and press square/X, it should then be visible in your Guardian’s hand. Then, if you want to throw it at something or one of the other Guardians going about their day, aim at the intended target and press R2/RT, as if you were firing a weapon. Throw enough snowballs at unsuspecting Guardians and you might just be able to start a snowball fight.
