Destiny 2: Week 1 Atlas Skew Locations Guide; Tracing the Stars

A new exotic quest for the new trace rifle, Ager’s Sceptor, has been released as of Destiny 2: Season of the Lost, the last season before Bungie formally kicks off year 5 in 2022. If you’re here, you’re probably on the first main quest step which sees you running around the Dreaming City. In this guide, we’ll go over where you need to go to find all of the Atlas Skew locations and to progress the Ager’s Sceptor quest.

Drowned Bay Alcove

Let’s get the lost sector one out of the way. This Atlas Skew is quite easy to find. All you need to do is head to the Drowned Bay Lost Sector and along the right-hand sidewall, you’ll find a little alcove (pictured above) where the skew is patiently waiting for you. Just interact and you’re all set with this one.

Spine Oracle Orrery

This is another pretty low-effort Atlas Skew to find. All you need to do is head towards the Orrery, you know, the place where you did the offerings all those years back when Forsaken launched. If you forgot, or you weren’t playing Destiny 2 then, no worries. Just go to the spot pinpointed on the map above, located in the Spine of Keres area.

Enter the large imposing building found there, head inside, and go up the right-hand side stairs all the way to the top of the Orrery. That’s where the Spine Oracle Orrery Atlas Skew can be found.

Disant Spine Island Tree

This one is hard to miss, but you do have to do quite a bit of walking to get there. This Skew is also in the Spine of Keres area. Leave the Orrery and head towards the shattered floating islands located in the far left side of this map.

You’re essentially going to island-hop across all the islands until you reach the one marked on the map above. Waiting for you there is the Distant Spine Island Tree Atlas Skew.

Divalian-Cimmerian Path, Central Cave

Atlas Skews Week 1 – Tracing the Stars 1

This one, although extremely close to where you spawn into The Dreaming City, can admittedly be a little hard to miss. Spawn into the Divalian Mists and head towards the lower-center area, on the ground below where you would normally enter the Blind Well.

What you’re looking for is a cave. There’s really no great way to describe it. It’s just a cave in the rock wall. Use the photo above to get a little context and enter the cave to find this Atlas Skew.

Divalian-Rheasilvia Path, Lower Cliffside

Atlas Skews Week 1 – Tracing the Stars 1

This is perhaps the trickest of all the Atlas Skews to find. If you remember the cliffside area where you might have made the offering to the Cat Statue or found the Golden Chest at some point during Forsaken’s heyday, then this location might be familiar to you.

In either event, what you’re going to want to do is respawn into the Divalian Mists again and hug the left-hand side wall until you reach the point marked on the map above.

Then, you’re going to need to peek around a little bit until you see the Atlas Skew poking out on a ledge below you. In the picture below, you can see a clear angle of the Lower Cliffside Atlas Skew to help give you some context as to where you’ll be able to see it.

Drop down, grab it, and if you’ve followed along with this guide you’ll be all set and ready to turn the quest in at the HELM.

Hopefully, that helped you find all of the Atlas Skews for week 1! For the rest of our Destiny 2 content, including Season of the Lost and the latest on The Witch Queen expansion, browse our most recent articles right here.
