Deathloop is here, the latest from the team that brought you the Dishonored games, and by most accounts, including Twinfinite’s, it has hit the mark. For those already exploring Updaam, here’s how to open the mysterious door in Deathloop if you’re wondering.
Warning: Minor Spoilers here for Deathloop’s main storyline.
How to Open the Mysterious Door in Updaam
Towards the back of Updaam, behind the Tunnels where you start each day, you may have found a door labeled “Mysterious Door.” There’s a Discoveries lead that also alludes to it, and if you select it will be highlighted on the map. The lead mentions a microphone and jokingly asks ‘Karaoke?’ So what does the door do exactly, and how do you open it?
Well, the mysterious door forms a key part of the main story; specifically, a questline called Radio Silence that involves Julianna. You will discover that to open it you will need a password that Colt speaks into the microphone. The door leads you to the Rakyetoplan, a vehicle that propels Colt towards the Stabilizer Door, where you will later discover Julianna is based.
Before that, though, there’s actually another door beyond it that also requires another three separate passwords. This is a separate questline involves back and forth missions to The Complex where Colt uses batteries to start two generators and then reroutes power to three different regions of Blackreef, each of which you will find special green doors with ‘RAK’ also on the front. Inside each is a password to open that vault to the Rakyetoplan.
Once you are ready to open the door, things will become fairly clear as to what to do as the questline will lead you through the process with obvious quest markers. Put simply, if you haven’t made fairly decent progress on the Visionary Leads menu, you don’t really need to worry about this door until much later.
