How to Beat Papu Papu in Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

Papu Papu is the first boss you’ll come across on your adventure in the first game of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. In the sixth level, Crash heads into Papu Papu’s hut, only to wake up a very grouchy Papu Papu. Here’s what you need to do to beat him, as well as some handy tips to make it even easier.

The battle against Papu Papu can seem trickier at first than it actually is. Papu Papu stands in the middle of his hut and proceeds to swing his stick around him. If Crash gets hit once by the stick, he’s done for. To avoid this attack you’ll have to jump over his stick, or, the much easier way is to go jump on Papu Papu’s seat. You’ll be completely out of the way of his sweeping attack, and lines you up for your attack.

Once he’s swept his stick three times around the room, he’ll try and bash Crash with it. Avoid this, and then immediately jump onto his head. You’ll deal some damage and the grumpy guy will start over with his sweeping attack. Every time you hit him, he’ll give the room another sweep with his stick, so just be careful of jumping in too soon. Saying that, as long as you hit him on the head, which is quite easy from the seat, you should be able to deal some damage before he begins this attack.

You’ll have to do this five times to beat the first boss in Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, but by using his seat, you shouldn’t have too many problems with this.
