Code Vein: What the Max Level Cap Is

Your adventure through the anime-like world of Code Vein will be one filled with enemies, leveling up, and growing ever-stronger in combat. Defeating enemies and completing quests all goes towards leveling up your character, and that’ll no doubt have you wondering just what the max level cap is in Code Vein.

Code Vein’s max level cap is currently yet to be completely confirmed. We’re confident that it is over 100, with numerous players having reached upwards of level 125.

We’re currently grinding our way towards 140, sitting at level 132, and will continue to update this post as we strive towards Code Vein’s max level cap.

Players will be able to level up their character by gathering and spending Haze. This can be obtained in a number of ways, which we’ll break down in further detail down below.

Each time players level up, their character’s health, stamina, and attack and defense values will be automatically increased.

It may be a ‘Soulslike’ game, but it’s not exactly the same. Though, if you do want to fine-tune your stats, this can always be done by experimenting with the various Blood Codes in the game.

How to Get Haze & Level Up Fast

• Defeating Enemies

There are four main ways you can get Haze and/ or increase the amount of the stuff you’re getting on your Code Vein playthrough.

First off, Haze can be obtained easily by killing enemies. The tougher the enemy, the more Haze you’ll get. As such, we advise taking on as many enemies as you feel like you reasonably can, without putting yourself at risk of death.

You’ll also want to make use of the Mercury Blood Code that you can get towards the beginning of the game when talking to Coco at Home Base.

This allows you to use a Gift that increases the amount of Haze you get from killing enemies. Having this equipped from the beginning of your adventure can make a massive difference in the long-run.

If you’re really struggling for Haze and need it in a pinch, you can sell your gear for Haze to either Coco or Murasame. These are found in your Home Base, so always track back here if you need to level up and need the Haze in Code Vein.

Last but not least, you can also use items like Loss Shards. You’ll find these every so often as you progress through the game and explore its various areas. When used, Loss Shards will give you a set amount of Haze, so it’s always a nice little bonus when you find one.
