Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is still months from release but if you’re a PlayStation 4 owner hankering to try the game out, you can do so this weekend. Here’s how to download the Modern Warfare Alpha & how to preload.
How to Preload and Download Modern Warfare Alpha
Earlier this week during Gamescom Opening Night Light, a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare trailer dropped with the reveal that an open alpha would begin this weekend on PS4. If you’re looking to get into the action this weekend, we’ve got you covered.
How to Download
To download the alpha, head to the PSN store. Search for “Call of Duty Modern Warfare” and you should see the title pop up in the search results.
Now, this is where you can purchase the game but you don’t need to. Instead, scroll down and below the preorder for the game, you should see “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – 2v2 Alpha.”
Select it and add it to your cart. Purchase it for free and you’ll be all set. Well, you’ll still need to download the alpha, but to do that you need to preload it. Don’t worry, though. We’ve got you covered there too.
How to Preload
To preload the game, simply download it from your PS4 library. Preload began today at 1pm EST so no matter where you’re at, it’s available for download right now.
When it’s done downloading, you should see the alpha on your media cross bar. When the alpha goes live sometime tomorrow, you can select that and hop in for some 2v2 Gunfight mode action.
That’s it for how to download the Modern Warfare Alpha and how to preload.
