raised garden beds

The first Stardew Valley mod of August 2021 that we have to share with you is for all of the players who absolutely love to decorate around their farm. This mod lets you have raised garden beds for all of your planting needs.

You can build these raised beds in unique shapes or just fill in a grassy patch with any crop of your choice. They work the same way as Evelyn’s garden pots; you’ll unlock them in early summer after being friends with Robin.

These raised garden beds also come in a variety of styles for you to craft once you have the basic recipe.

Berry Season Reminder

berry season reminder

If you’re anything like me, you’re the type of Stardew Valley player that absolutely needs charts and reminders for everything. With so many seasons, crops, plants, characters, and more to keep track of, how could anyone possibly remember everything?

This mod adds a reminder to your calendar about berry seasons and which ones are available at each time. Perhaps you’re trying to collect a certain kind for the community center or maybe to gift one to another character to increase their friendship.

Either way, this simple mod will make sure you never forget when berries are in season by displaying which ones are available on each given day.

Kitty Channels

The TV channels in Stardew Valley can be helpful, but are they really that interesting? This mod called Kitty Channels makes the shows you see in the game cuter and fluffier.

It basically replaces all of the channels with a feline-related equivalent…just because. There are no differences except that all of the broadcasters are now cats.

You’ll get your regular weather report, livin’ on the land, queen of sauce, and fortune teller channels, but instead of humans, they’ll feature some adorable felines. How could you not download this mod?

Faster Path Speed

faster path speed

In Stardew Valley, paths provide a slight boost to movement speed by default, but most players don’t notice this because it only happens on your farm.

This mod takes that same feature that’s already in the base game and amplifies it so that you can walk faster on paths both on your farm and outside of it as well.

This not only speeds the game up a bit, but it also provides a sense of realism that human-built paths would be a lot easier to walk on than dirt or grass. It also might motivate you to finally decorate with those beautiful paths you’ve been putting off for so long.

Lumisteria Clumps and Nodes

clumps and nodes mining

Those who spend most of their time in the mines and in Skull Cavern will want to download this Lumisteria Clumps and Nodes mod. It adds nodes containing metal ores, gems, and minerals for you to find.

Though they will be found in clumps, it is still balanced; new clumps and nodes are uncommon or rare but may hold a greater quantity of them. This aims to make mining feel more rewarding and exciting without being too powerful.

These new nodes may appear at any level of the mines, but the deeper you go, the rarer and more interesting things you’ll find.

Lost Item Recovery

lost item recovery

Have you ever passed out at the end of a long, productive day and lost your materials, including all of the precious gems you mined for? This mod lets you visit the Adventurer’s Guild to buy back any lost item.

It will only show items from your most recent passing out, so you’ll have to be sure to visit soon if you are prone to doing so a lot in order to recover your items.

By default, the items are priced at half of their sale price, but this can be changed in configurations. You can decide to either make them all free for an easy recovery or very expensive to make it more punishing. Regardless, this prevents you from completely losing any item due to passing out.

Customizable Baby and Children

customizable baby and children

When you marry a bachelor or bachelorette in Stardew Valley and have a baby with them, the child ends up looking exactly like the parent you married. If you want your children to look more like you, a combination of both parents, or a totally different look altogether, this is the mod for you.

This Customizable Baby and Children mod lets you have full customization over how your children look. This includes clothes, skin tone, hair, eyes, and any accessories like the pacifier.

You’ll definitely want this mod if you don’t like the generic or default baby or toddler looks in the game.

Ultimate Villager Manager

Finally, the last mod we have to share with you from August 2021 is the Ultimate Villager Manager mod. It’s your one-stop shop for changing each villager’s name, gender, and possessive form (for accurate grammar).

This gives you a deeper layer of customization in terms of who is living in Pelican Town and around the valley. Do you want Mayor Lewis to be a woman named Linda instead? Do you love everything about Abigail but want to change her name because it reminds you of a bad ex-girlfriend?

You can customize up to 50 villagers to make the game completely your own.
