Ep. 1 – Defying Falcone
Story Choices & Endings in Batman The Telltale Series Season 1
During episode one, you’ll be hosting an gala to raise awareness of Harvey Dent’s campaign to become mayor of Gotham. Carmine Falcone will show up uninvited and will want to discuss some things with you in private. As you head into the room, Harvey will try to follow but will be blocked off by one of Falcone’s henchmen.
Here, you have two options. Defy Falcone and let him know Harvey stays, or agree that you’ll speak with Falcone alone for a couple of minutes.
If you choose to have Harvey join you in the room, nothing much really happens. Falcone will acknowledge and respect that your home is yours and whatever decisions you choose to make in it are what goes. Harvey will have no input in the conversation and things play out the same way.
If you agree that Harvey should wait outside, the conversation will play out in the exact same way. There’s really no difference here other than how your relationship with Falcone may be affected. Either way, it’s not going to change the way your game plays out.
Ep. 1 – The Quote
Story Choices & Endings in Batman The Telltale Series Season 1
Following the emergence of the scandal surrounding the Wayne family name, Vicki Vale will appear on the scene and is willing to take a quote from you to try and help downplay the whole thing in the paper. Of course, if you’d rather not trust the journalist and decline, that’s completely up to you. Here’s how each plays out.
If you agree to provide a quote, Vale will appreciate you giving her a scoop and you’ll hear the statement you gave at the end of the episode.
If you opt to stay quiet on the investigation, Vale will be a little disappointed in you and will remember what you did.
Ep. 1 – The Docks Interrogation
Story Choices & Endings in Batman The Telltale Series Season 1
When you’re doing your investigation at the docks where Selena said she was supposed to be meeting her client to give them what she was supposed to have stolen from city hall, you’ll find a mercenary hiding away still. You’ll interrogate them to try and get more information on who hired them and what they’re up to. After getting a bit out of them, you’ll be given the choice to push harder to try and force the information out of them, or back down and prevent the mercenary from suffering any additional injuries.
If you push harder, you’ll break the mercenary’s arm and they’ll scream out in pain. When the GCPD turn up shortly after, they’ll find the injured mercenary and it’ll be known that Batman is being brutal with his enemies.
If you back down, you’ll maintain a positive image in the eyes of the GCPD.
This is occasionally referred to every so often in future episodes, though it won’t make a major difference on how things play out.
Ep. 1 – The Falcone Data
Story Choices & Endings in Batman The Telltale Series Season 1
The package that you managed to grab from the city hall that Catwoman was trying to steal will contain information that incriminates Falcone as having worked with Mayor Hill and having been involved in other activities. You’ll be able to give this to either Gordon or Vicki Vale.
If you choose to give the evidence to Gordon, he’ll appreciate the fact you’ve given him the evidence and will say it’s one major step in taking down Falcone. Later on, you’ll hear that Gordon is responsible for disclosing the evidence against Falcone.
On the other hand, if you choose to give the evidence to Vale, she’ll say it’s better being given to her than the police. Now, the evidence can be shared with the public on every television screen and on the front of the newspaper rather than being buried in an evidence locker. She’ll appreciate you trusting her with such evidence.
This has very little effect on how things play out other than the who gets mentioned for disclosing the evidence later on in the episode.
Ep. 1 – The Fate of Falcone
Story Choices & Endings in Batman The Telltale Series Season 1
The fate of Falcone is the biggest choice you’ll have to make in episode one and will ultimately change the ending that you get. Having finally made your way to the Skyrise hangout he was located at, you’ll enter into a battle with Falcone as he claims he’s innocent regarding everything at the dock. Once you’ve beaten Falcone down and with the police on their way up, you’ll have two options. To either impale Falcone and get revenge on him for being a general ass, or to restrain and leave him for the GCPD to take care of.
If you choose to restrain him, the recorded footage from GCPD will prove that you’re not as brutal as some may deem you to be. This will show up on the news report shown later on presented by Jack Ryder.
On the other hand, if you choose to impale him, the whole thing is recorded and Gotham will know just how brutal Batman can be.
There’re no huge consequences to the decision you make here. Ultimately, the ending will change depending on whether or not you restrained or harmed Falcone, but he’ll still be around in the next episode all the same.
Ep. 2 – The Morphine
Story Choices & Endings in Batman The Telltale Series Season 1
At the start of episode two, you’ll go to visit Carmine Falcone in hospital as Bruce Wayne to see how he’s recovering and also to try and get a little information out of him. After a few exchanges, he’ll ask you to give him some more morphine. Here, you can either choose to harm him in the process or ease his pain.
If you choose to hurt Falcone, Bruce will drive the syringe into Falcone’s neck. Carmine will ask how much of your old man is in you and provide you with a bit more information regarding your father. Apparently, Thomas Wayne did everything for his son to give him the best possible life. You also find out that he was the most ruthless of the lot of them.
If you choose to help him, Bruce will inject the morphine into his IV tube. In doing so, he’ll tell you a little more about your mother as you show the kindness that he relates her with.
Other than that, no other consequences come from the choice you make thanks to Montoya’s shock entrance shortly after.
Ep. 2 – The Kiss
Story Choices & Endings in Batman The Telltale Series Season 1
You’ll meet up with Selena a little later on in episode two to talk things through and to generally ask for her help in taking down whatever threat is coming Gotham’s way. Unfortunately, it doesn’t take long for some of Penguin’s thugs to find the pair of you and you’ll battle it out in the bar. When you’ve taken care of them and made it outside, you’ll be given the option to kiss Selena before she goes.
If you choose to kiss her, she’ll start to lean in and then back out at the last second before saying you both need to get out of there.
Choosing to back off sees Bruce suggest that they should go before the cops show up.
There doesn’t seem to be any major consequences for the choices you make at the time as the scene essentially plays out in the exact same way.
Ep. 2 – Visiting Mayor Hill
Story Choices & Endings in Batman The Telltale Series Season 1
When it comes to visiting Mayor Hill to try and find out a little bit more about his involvement with Cobblepot, you’ll be able to visit him as either Bruce and go the more formal and proper way, or go all vigilante on his ass as Batman.
If you choose to go as Batman, you’ll essentially interrogate Hill and he’ll let you know that pretty much anything or anyone can disappear if enough money is thrown at the problem.
On the other hand, if you go as Bruce, Mayor Hill will give you the opportunity to cooperate with him. If you agree to this, he’ll tell you why Cobblepot is so intent on taking you down and says he’ll help you if he remains in office deal with the Penguin situation. If you refuse his offer, you won’t get that information.
Ep. 2 – Campaign Funding
Story Choices & Endings in Batman The Telltale Series Season 1
Following the scandal surrounding your parents, Harvey contacts you toward the end of episode two to let you know he’s been advised that he should bad mouth you in public and generally not associate himself with Bruce anymore. However, because you’ve been funding his campaign and it’s so crucial to his success, he asks that you continue funding the campaign. Of course, such a request when he’s essentially turning his back on you is a little cheeky, so you’re given the option to either accept or turn down his request.
If you choose to continue funding his campaign, Harvey will be eternally grateful. Though it doesn’t make much of a difference in how this episode plays out, it will ultimately help to repair your relationship with Harvey in future episodes. Just how important it is or not remains to be seen.
If you tell Harvey to forget it, he’ll be angry and disappointed in your choice and press you for at least a reason why you’ve chosen to do this. Much like the other option, this may make things with Harvey a little more difficult in future episodes.
Ep. 2 – Who to Save?
Story Choices & Endings in Batman The Telltale Series Season 1
When you reach the debate and all hell is breaking loose, you’ll jump down and save the day. You’ll manage to get Vicki Vale to safety and take down Penguin’s giant henchman. Unfortunately, you’ll be left in a catch 22 situation. Both Harvey and Selena are under threat and it’ll be down to pick which to save.
If you choose Selena, Cobblepot will burn half of Harvey’s face. Two-Face will be born and will be mentally unstable in future episodes. How significant this transition is remains to be seen.
If you choose to save Harvey, Selena will manage to get away, but she’ll be wounded. Harvey will be safe, but he’ll still have some scars. You’ll see Selena being chased while injured following her escape.
Ep. 3 – Who to help first?
Story Choices & Endings in Batman The Telltale Series Season 1
At the very start of the episode, you’ll meet Gordon who has signaled you with the Batman symbol in the night skies. Once you reach him, he’ll ask for your help with two different situations. Harvey Dent is on his way to his acceptance speech but is being followed by a car, and Montoya has gone off on her own to follow a lead on the chemicals at the construction site. While the other won’t be completely left on their own, with GCPD backup going to whichever you don’t choose, they’ll take a little longer to get there than yourself.
If you choose to go after Montoya first, you’ll defeat a couple of goons and she’ll apologize for her actions in the previous episode. She’ll tell you to go on and she can handle everything else here. When you reach Harvey, the cops will already be on the scene and Harvey will have taken care of this on his own with his bare hands. The goon is dead.
If you go after Harvey first, you’ll get there to take care of the goon chasing after him. You can question the goon but you won’t get much out of him other than that the Children of Arkham know every move of the GCPD. If you saved Harvey at the end of episode two, he’ll be eternally grateful and will give Batman his endorsement. When you reach Montoya, she’ll be pissed that you showed up late. One of the GCPD officers was taken away by the Children of Arkham and the situation didn’t go well at all.
Ep. 3 – Punching Oswald
Story Choices & Endings in Batman The Telltale Series Season 1
After Regina tells you that the board has agreed you need to step down as CEO of Wayne Enterprises, you’ll be greeted with your interim successor, Oswald Cobblepot. Of course, the guys evil as all hell and a major asshole too, so he’ll make a big point of dropping a pocket watch that Alfred got you as a congratulatory present. At that moment, you’re given the option to keep your cool, or punch him right in his smug face.
Punching Oswald will see Regina call for security and Oswald telling you you’ve lost your mind. Probably not the best option to take if you want to see Bruce regain his rightful position as CEO. Security will arrive and you’ll be thrown out of the building.
If you remain composed, you’ll pick you pocket watch up and Regina will ask you to leave politely. You’ll head out of the door with some dignity still intact.
It remains to be seen whether or not attacking Cobblepot will have an effect on future episodes at this moment in time.
Ep. 3 – The fate of Lucius
Story Choices & Endings in Batman The Telltale Series Season 1
As soon as you step outside Wayne Enterprises, Lucius will be waiting for you. Having heard the news, he’s unsure what to do. He’s sure that the secret lab will be found eventually and warns that this is disastrous for the Batman project. He’ll give you two options. You can either hire him to work from Wayne Manor, or you can keep him on the inside at Wayne Enterprises.
If you choose to hire him to work from Wayne Manor, Batman will continue to get new tech and any repairs necessary to his current equipment should he need it. However, this will mean you’re without an ally on the inside.
Keeping Lucius working at Wayne Enterprises means you’ll be without any extra gadgets and anything that needs fixing will be left broken. However, he’ll be your eyes and ears inside Wayne Enterprises and can keep an eye on the lab while you’re gone.
While we don’t know how this will ultimately affect future episodes as they’ve yet to be released. If you chose to have him work from Wayne Manor, you can expect Batman sections to perhaps go a little more smoothly in future episodes. Keeping Lucius at Wayne Enterprises may help Bruce regain his position toward the end.
Ep. 3 – A Night with Selina
Story Choices & Endings in Batman The Telltale Series Season 1
When you’ve taken care of business at the Skytrain Depot, Selena will help you get back to hers and patch you up from your injuries. After a brief personal conversation, Selena opens up and starts to confess her true feelings. Of course, with the spark between these two, you can act on your feelings or choose not to.
If you continue to keep kissing Selena, you’ll head off into the bedroom together and wake up the next day in your underpants.
Alternatively, you can tell her that you shouldn’t be doing this and friendzone her for good. Selena will go get you a blanket for your night on the couch. The cat will look disappointingly that you broke its owner’s heart. You’ll continue your conversation with Selena and toast to better days ahead. You’ll wake up the next day in your underpants having undressed from your suit the night before.
At this moment in time, it remains unclear just exactly how sleeping with Selena or friendzoning her will impact future episodes.
Ep. 3 – Attacking Harvey
Story Choices & Endings in Batman The Telltale Series Season 1
After waking up at Selena’s, Harvey will appear at the door to catch up with her. You’ll hide away in the bedroom but ultimately, no matter what you do, the cat will give you away and he’ll spot you. In a fit of rage, Harvey will start attacking the pair of you. Here, you can either let him wear himself down and try and talk him out of it, or beat him down yourself.
If you choose not to attack Harvey, he’ll break down at your feet and beg not to be alone with the voice inside his head. He’ll be incredibly sorry for his actions and will take his leave. Of course, his other side will still have a thing or two to say about it.
Beating Harvey down will result in him breaking down at your feet once more. There’s no other difference in the way the rest of this episode plays out, but beating him down may lead to a more bitter relationship in future episodes.
We’ll continue to update this when we know with choices in the upcoming episodes, as well as how current choices affect future events.
Ep. 4 – Owing the Joker
Story Choices & Endings in Batman The Telltale Series Season 1
When you’re inside the walls of Arkham Asylum, Joker says you need to be free so that you can “continue your collision course with Lady Arkham.” He’ll tell you that the best way for you to escape is to use the phone and to make a phone call. A phone call to the right person is all that you need to get out of this place. Of course, in return for this information, he wants you to owe him a favor after being released from Arkham.
If you agree to this, Joker will remember this and smile a bit maniacally. Nothing is really revealed as to what the favor may be, but our guess is that this will all come to light in the final episode.
Telling Joker that he’s never going to get out of the Asylum and rejecting him of his favor sees him also remember your decision, but doesn’t lead to a major change at this moment in time.
Ep. 4 – Fight or Phone Call
Story Choices & Endings in Batman The Telltale Series Season 1
In order to help you get out, Joker will set up a distraction in Arkham Asylum’s recreation room. By slashing a mark into the side of Zsasz’s face, the murderer goes into a bit of a frenzy and will try and murder the guy he was just playing Chess with. As he grabs the knife from Joker, you have two options. You can either choose to break up the fight and stop the chaos from ensuing, or you can make good use of this distraction and make a phone call to try and get yourself out of this mess.
If you choose to break up the fight, you’ll still end up getting out of Arkham Asylum. The Superintendent will feel you’re causing too much trouble and that you’re too much of a risk considering you’ve been there less than a day and been involved in two fights. Alfred will pick you up and you’ll be taken home.
If you choose to make a phone call, Zsasz will kill his opponent as you make a break for the phone call. You can then choose to ring your lawyers, or use a connection you have with Gordon. Either way, you’ll end up being set free in the next chapter of this episode. As you walk back over to the gate to the rec room, Joker will tell you to “ask the Vales” about Vicki’s whereabouts and where the drug stash may be.
Ep. 4 – Harvey’s Security
Story Choices & Endings in Batman The Telltale Series Season 1
On your way back from Arkham Asylum, Alfred will have to pull the car over for Harvey’s security. They’ll tell Bruce that they need to search the car and that they don’t need a warrant due to Harvey’s recent ruling that they have the power to search anything they want whenever they want. Just as you’re talking to the enforcer, a few members of the public will also head over and start shouting abuse at you. At this point, you have two options. You can either pay off the enforcer to get through their barricade, or you can get Alfred to floor it through the barricade and escape without having to pay a penny.
If you choose to pay off the enforcer, you’ll get back to Wayne Manor without a hitch. The same thing also happens if you ask Alfred to ram through the barricades. Though these may ultimately have an effect on something in episode five, this didn’t seem to be all that important in relation to the rest of the episode.
Ep. 4 – Batman or Bruce
Story Choices & Endings in Batman The Telltale Series Season 1
Upon returning to the Batcave after the events of chapter three, Alfred will change the channel midway through a call you were having with Lucius Fox. A news report shows Harvey Dent making an announcement that the entirety of the Wayne Estate must be relinquished and handed over to the state within 24 hours so that it can be used for the good of the people of Gotham. Clearly losing his mind, you decide that you need to go and visit him, but as which of your alter egos will you choose?
Going as Batman will see the conversation initially looking like you might be able to sway Harvey, but after a while, he’ll snap and say Bruce was just another curveball the city threw his way. After he destroys the city block, he’ll make a comment on how he went over Gordon’s head to find the whereabouts of the drugs and that something has happened to him. You’ll hang him off the edge of the building and interrogate him to find out where his enforcers have taken Gordon. Dent will then be against you, even if you saved him in episode two. You’ll then head to Crime Alley to save Gordon and he’ll let you know that Dent already had the information before he got back to the precinct.
If you go as Bruce, you’ll have a conversation with Harvey, but your betrayal of him in episode three will lead him to still blow up the city block, continue the seizure of your assets, and then have his enforcers take you down to Crime Alley to kill you. Gordon will appear at the last minute and save you. After offering your thanks, you’ll disappear off.
Ep. 4 – Wayne Enterprises or Wayne Manor
Story Choices & Endings in Batman The Telltale Series Season 1
After visiting Dent on the rooftop, you’ll start making your way back to Wayne Manor, only to be told that Cobblepot has already started hacking into your system. If you leave it much longer, he’ll have full control of the Bat computer and things could go horribly wrong. Just after Lucius tells you this, Alfred will ring and let you know that Dent is already outside Wayne Manor. If you don’t head back right away you might find that it’s not in the best state when you eventually do return.
If you choose to go to Wayne Enterprises, you’ll have Lucius helping you from the inside of the system all the way. He’ll help you make your way up to Cobblepot’s office, and at that point, the tussle will begin. You’ll fight with Cobblepot, destroy his machine that was hacking your systems, and try and talk some sense into him about being a pawn in the plans of Lady Arkham. As the episode finishes, you’ll see Cobblepot hanging from the ceiling in Wayne Enterprises, before the camera switches to Wayne Manor. It’s on fire, and Dent is responsible. Your job just got a lot harder in episode five.
Heading to Wayne Manor will see you going toe to toe with Dent. Alfred will be armed as Dent bursts into Wayne Manor and will try and turn the intruders around. Batman will try and use a drone to set up his plan on taking everyone down, but with Cobblepot still hacking your system, it falls to the floor and is unusable. Instead, you stealthily take care of one guard while Alfred shoots another in the leg. Your showdown with Dent then begins. You’ll take care of his goons first while he opens a suitcase which just so happens to have a giant Tommy Gun in with explosive slugs. Eventually, you’ll get caught by Harvey’s enforcers and rather than letting them do the dirty work, he’ll want to take care of you himself. As he approaches you with the Tommy Gun aiming down at you, Alfred will shoot him in the arm, distracting him and buying you a bit of time. Dent will then flip his coin to decide whether to shoot Alfred in the head or the heart. Meanwhile, Batman is activating a supersonic pitch to bring a ton of bat to his position. Batman throws a Batarang into the mechanics of the Tommy Gun, setting it on fire and allowing for the battle with Dent to continue. You’ll finally have him pinned down and he’ll then be arrested by Gordon. You’ll have the option to either send him to prison, or send him to Arkham Asylum instead.
After this, you’ll find yourself in the Bat Cave and the whole Bat computer will be alerting you of a firewall breach. With all of your Bat-tech linked to the computer, you have no other choice but to cut through the hardline and lose all of your technological assets.
