Astral Chain: How to Get Gene Code Fast

Astral Chain has a couple of different ways you can level and power up your character. One of those ways is using Gene Code, basically experience, to level up your Legions. Because of that, you’ll want to know how to get Gene Code fast in Astral Chain.

How to Get Gene Code Fast in Astral Chain

In Astral Chain, you’ll get Gene Code from each and every Chimera that you defeat. Do note, however, that non-chimera enemies, like humans and the Raven soldiers you fight later, will not give you any Gene Code.

You’ll get Gene Code at a pretty moderate pace but there are a few ways to speed things up. The first of those is by looking out for the “Finish Off” command that pops up during battle.

As an enemy is near death you’ll see the command pop up, and if you press A you’ll do a short animation and/or quick-time event to finish off the enemy.

You should try and do Finish Off quite often because for one it’ll slightly boost the amount of Gene Code you get, and two it’ll restore all of your health each time you do it.

On top of this, you can get certain skills for your Legion that will boost the rate you get Gene Code. You’ll need to unlock at least one skill slot through Legion Learning in your main menu first, but once you do just head to your skill equip menu and look for anything that says Gene Code boost.

Finally, keep in mind that you can go back and replay any File at any time in Astral Chain. So if you find yourself struggling at a certain part, it might be worth replaying a File just to get yourself some more experience.

To replay a File just head to your personal PC in the Neuron HQ and choose File Select.
