During one of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s most interesting quest arcs, players visit the county of Glowecestrescire during Samhain (Halloween). Part of the story involves putting on the Mari Lwyd mask to trick or treat, but you’ll also have to disguise yourself with it once again later on. Here’s how to put the mask on to trick the Druid in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
How to Put the Mask on in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
As alluded to above, the first time you don the Mari Lwyd mask it’s part of a brief cutscene that equips it automatically. The game never actually explains that, during the quest, any time you disguise yourself with the default input, the mask will be equipped.
And that’s actually all there is to it; just press down on the d-pad to bring up the command wheel, as usual, then cycle over to “Cloak” to equip the Mari Lwyd mask.
Now when you knock on the door, Halewyd the Druid will be willing to speak with you since he’ll believe you to be a spirit and not a mortal.
Do keep in mind that if you untrack the Clues & Riddles quest at any point then the Mari Lwyd mask will no longer equip by default.
Once you’ve spoken with Halewyd, he’ll task you with solving a bunch of riddles before inviting you to join his ceremony. This is as simple as exploring the surrounding area and ticking off every area highlighted when using your Odin’s Sight.
And that’s all there is to know about how to put the Mari Lwyd mask on to trick the Druid in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. For more useful tips and guides on the game, be sure to check out Twinfinite’s extensive wiki.
