While Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is mostly about Eivor’s story as she plays her part in the Viking invasion of Britiain in the 9th century, that doesn’t mean you can’t look fly as you hack and slash your way through enemies. Here’s how to change clothes in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and how to get more outfits if you’re struggling to find them for yourself.
How to Get More Clothes
Getting more clothes is as simple as finding them as ‘gear’ around the world. These can either be purchased from Armorers/ Blacksmiths in settlements, found in chests around the world, or dropped by enemies.
Once you’ve found or bought some, they’ll automatically be added to your ‘Inventory’ screen. This can be accessed by pressing the touchpad on PS4, View button on Xbox One, or Esc on PC.
How to Change Clothes in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
To change clothes in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, go to the ‘Inventory’ screen and then select the piece of ‘clothing’ you want to change from the boxes surrounding Eivor.
Press X/ A and you’ll then be shown all other types of clothing/ armor within that category. Simply choose the clothing item you want to change to and press X/ A again to confirm it.
Keep in mind that this isn’t just a cosmetic change. All bits of armor or clothing has its own stats, so you’ll want to make sure you’re not downgrading from your existing bit for the sake of some additional cosmetic flair.
It’s worth pointing out that some items such as the helmet and cloak can be hidden, or have to be equipped from the menu wheel that can be accessed by pressing down on the d-pad once you’re in-game.
