Is Assassin’s Creed Origins Coming to Nintendo Switch?

Recommended Videos

Assassin’s Creed Origins gives fans a lot to be excited about. Not only does it look breathtakingly pretty, have an overhauled combat system, and a more interactive world, but you can also slide down pyramids, and who doesn’t want to do that? Of course, while PC, Xbox One, and PS4 owners will be eager to sink their teeth into the Ancient Egyptian adventure on Friday, some players may be wondering if the game is also coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Unfortunately, we won’t be seeing a Nintendo Switch version of Assassin’s Creed Origins. In an interview with GamingBolt back in July, the game’s director, Ashraf Ismail, said “We’re shipping on Xbox One, Xbox One X, PS4, PS4 Pro, and PC. There are no plans to release it on Switch.”

There’s always the chance that things can change, especially considering the general popularity of the Nintendo Switch currently. If Ubisoft does opt to later release Assassin’s Creed Origins, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know. However, for now, if you want to go exploring Ancient Egypt with Bayek, you’ll need to play on another platform.
