How to Slow Down Time in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Recommended Videos

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey continues the frenetic hack-and-slash combat introduced in Origins. With enemies capable of attacking your character from multiple directions and shooting arrows from blind spots, you definitely need all the advantage you can get, specifically the ability to slow down time.

Much like Assassin’s Creed Origins, you need to unlock certain skills in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey before you can slow down time. This ability can be found in three out of the four skill trees: Hunter, Warrior, Assassin and Baseline.

Take note that most skills in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey don’t allow you to slow down time at will. To activate it, you also need to perform certain maneuvers required in each skill. Below is a rundown of all skills in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey that can slow down time:

Skills That Let You Slow Down Time in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

  • Archery Master (Hunter Tree): This skill provides a number of useful buffs, including slowing down time when aiming the bow while in mid-air. If you can jump from a high area, you can hit multiple headsets before landing on your feet. This ability also has a number of other useful skills. This includes 40% damage increase for both headshots and Hunter damage, automatic adrenaline refills for partially drained adrenaline gauge upon exiting combat, and negated arrow consumption when using Hunter abilities.
  • Sixth Sense (Hunter Tree): Time will automatically crawl at a snails space once you’re spotted by enemies. This lasts for only five seconds, so make sure you make it count by shooting arrows at enemies. This skill also makes aimed arrows lock onto an enemy’s torso and dishes out 150% Hunter damage.
  • Slow Time (Assassin Tree): This ability allows you to slow down time for seven seconds. With this ability, you can land heavy attacks to multiple enemies in quick succession.
  • Defensive Maneuvers (Baseline Tree): Perfectly timed dodges allow you to slow down time with this ability. You can use parries, dodges and quick evasive rolls to activate this skill.

That’s the basics on how to slow down time in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Make sure to check our Assassin’s Creed Odyssey wiki if you’re craving for more useful tips to aid you in battling against tough mercenaries or Greek gods in ancient Greece.
