How to Play Battle Royale Mode in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
Battle royale has become all the rage in gaming these days, thanks to the monumental success of games like Fortnite and PUBG. The genre has started creeping into everything lately, even Call of Duty and Battlefield. If that wasn’t enough, this newage game mode has even found its way into Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. That’s right, it’s in Assassin’s Creed, but it might not be exactly what you’re thinking. It’s a surprising little easter egg that you can find, and a fun addition to the world of the game. Here’s how to play battle royale mode in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
The first thing you’re going to need to do is start a side quest called “Call to Arms.” This can be found on the island of Melos, just southeast of Argolis.
Look for it on your map by pushing in the touchpad or going through the in-game menu. Once you make it there, you’ll be greeted by a Drakios who will tell you all about the competition.
At some point, he’ll tell you that you’ll need to train, first. But you can actually skip this just by paying him off with Drachmae.
You’ll want to make sure you’re at least around levels 26 to 32 to have a real shot of completing the full quest. After accepting, what follows is basically an Ancient Greece battle royale.
You’ll need to fight off against 99 other AI controlled opponents on the island until you’re, you guessed it, the last one standing. Luckily, the game will actively show you where everyone is once you’ve killed off enough of them. So you won’t be wandering around that gross island looking for people.
The quest is basically one big single-player dungeon, but it’s an obvious nod to the very popular genre. While it’s still single player, it does raise some interesting questions as to what a real mode would look like within the series’ world.
