How to Connect to WiFi on Your Apple Watch
Your Apple Watch has plenty of useful features and functions, but you’ll need to pair it with your iPhone to use them. To do this, you’ll need to use both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, with your watch switching between connections when needed. Finding out whether your smartwatch is connected via Bluetooth is simple enough, but some wearers might have trouble identifying whether it’s connected to the Wi-Fi or not.
Unlike the iPhone, you can’t connect your watch to the network through the Settings app. Instead, it picks up the Wi-Fi via your phone and connects to it automatically. To find out whether your watch is connected or not, simply disable the Bluetooth on your iPhone. You should still be able to make calls and send texts on your watch if it’s connected to the network. It’s worth pointing out, however, that the smartwatch only supports 2.4GHz band. If you connect to a 5GHz network on your iPhone, you watch won’t be able to connect to the network.
So your iPhone is basically how your smartwatch connects to the Wi-Fi. For more details on how to use your Apple Watch, make sure to search for Twinfinite.
