Some Apex Legends players discovered code within the game that hinted at the test dummies on the map being able to shoot back. This took players all over the map and even had them clipping out of bounds to search for any more clues.

Well, after Reddit user Maddazefc cracked the case, players flocked to recreate the easter egg themselves and it’s actually pretty easy. Let’s break it down.

First, load up the firing range mode and choose either Pathfinder or Octane because you’ll need to get to a high point on the map with either the grappling hook or a jump pad.

Next, you’ll need to open up your inventory and drop any weapons you may have equipped. This can be done by hovering over the item and hitting the Square/X button or right-clicking on your mouse.

Once you leave the starting area you should see the Firing Range in front of you.

Take a left and continue along, you’ll see a bunch of caves just like the one you started in. The one on all the way to the left is what you’re looking for.

Head all the way inside and turn around so you’re facing the outside of the cave. Look up to see a small catwalk above you. This is where you will need either the grappling hook or a jump pad.

Once you’ve gotten onto the catwalk simply crouch, look down at the ground. Open up the game menu and select the change Legend menu. It doesn’t matter which Legend you choose, but you have to switch.

If you’ve done everything correctly you will hear a noise to signify the activation of the easter egg.

Head back down to the Firing Range and you’ll notice the test dummies are now blue and will start shooting back at you.
